Sketchbook

Drawing is my constant companion on planes, in meetings, church, lectures, cafes, waiting rooms, foreign and familiar places. I have found it to be a friend to speak of new ideas and proposals with, a location to wrestle a thought or prayer; a placeholder to render something lovely, curious, or to vent a demon. An 8 1/2 “ x 11” book that is kept under an arm, to safely negotiate all that this world bombards one with.
